Timing and Scoring Corrections - IMPORTANT! [12/11/2005]
A number of people have asked how we deal with timing and scoring problems & questions.
The answer(s) depend on WHEN we find out about those problems & questions.
ALL entrants are told AT THE STARTING LINE as well as it being in the race rules, that it is the ENTRANT'S RESPONSIBILITY to insure that the results that are posted AT EVENT SITE have their correct time / finish shown.
After each event/race, we post a number of results listings starting from just after the first finisher and continuing till the last finisher crosses the finish line.
At that time, it is announced that the entrants should check the results and let one of our staff know if there are any problems or questions.
At the end of the event, we work on "fixing" any problems and answering any question with the posted results. At that point, a "final" posting is put up and the award ceremony follows quickly afterward.
ONCE THE VIEWING PERIOD ENDS, THE FINAL LISTING IS THE ONE WHERE THE AWARDS ARE ANNOUNCED FROM.
THE TOP 5 POSITIONS ARE "LOCKED" IN AND WILL NOT CHANGE!!
If you miss the viewing period, we will TRY to correct any errors or ommisions, but the longer you wait the less able we are to make those corrections.
BOTTOM LINE - TELL US AT THE RACE SITE IF YOU ARE OMMITED OR ANY OTHER PROBLEM AND WE WILL WORK HARD TO FIX IT. TELL US DAYS LATER AND WE WILL TRY AS TIME PERMITS BUT MIGHT NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO FIND OUT THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM - NOR WILL WE BE RESPONSIBLE TO "FIX" THE PROBLEM AS THE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CORRECTNESS OF THE RESULTS RESTS WITH THE ENTRANT HIM OR HER SELF.
