2006 CACTUS CHA-CHA 7 & 3 MILE TRAIL RUNS

Just a quick note regarding some folks times.  

IF you signed up on the Active.com website, there was a question asking if you wanted an early start time.
It went on to say that if you chose this option, you would not be timed.  
Some folks asked for the early start at the race site.

We had 28 folks who either checked the box on Active or specifically asked for the early start option.

Unfortunately, a few folks did not read the explanation and chose the early start option but realized
at the start line that they did not want to start early and in fact started with their own event.

Anyone who had chosen the early start option was coded in the scoring system to not have their times shown.

We also found that 6 additional folks actually did start with the early starters but had not asked for 
or signed up for that option.  They were then manually added to the early start coding.

After the race, a couple of runners realized they were not on the results by reading the posted results at the race site
and came forward at that time.  We changed their coding so their results would be printed out.

Since then, we have received a couple of e-mails from folks who also wondered why their results were not
shown.

There was never any problem with either any of the timing chips or timing system in regard to "missing" results.

Because of these problems, there will not be any early start option in the next Cactus Cha Cha.
